What is a Brand Ambassador? 

A brand ambassador is someone who works with a specific company or brand, to help promote their product or service. This generally occurs at events however it has also expanded to the social media and digital marketing world as well. For us, we hire brand ambassadors who promote what they love, and love what they do. Passion is key, and something we look for when hiring staff. 

 

 

What Experience Do I Need?

We don’t all start off as brand ambassadors. Everyone has a first event, and what has been great for us is giving staff the opportunity to work that first event, and then building relationships with our team members. Many of our staff have worked with us for years, which is something we treasure and value greatly. 

As long as you have skills or experience working in similar fields, i.e. customer service, hospitality, marketing, communications, or sales, then you have what we look for when hiring team members. Once we bring staff onto our team we then provide additional training depending on client, event and role.

Different events. Common Approach.

Brand ambassadors need to be flexible, and not the bendy yoga kind. While every event may be different, there is the same expectation that staff will present with a friendly disposition, be approachable, personable, hard working and know key points about the client and product they are representing. We are often the first face people see when entering a booth or attending an event . A consumer's first impression can make or break how they feel about a company. It’s important to be flexible, adaptable and change your approach depending on what our clients or customers need. 

 

 

Key Tips on How to be a Great Brand Ambassador: 

- Plan ahead (know where to park, where to find a booth, and know who your contact is) 

- Show up early

- Be outgoing 

- Speak professionally at all times 

- Ensure you are wearing the correct attire/uniform

- Practice good hygiene

- Be well-rested and full of energy

- Research the client beforehand
