Engineering experts' main focus is to expand and increase the rate of manufacturing for face shields, respirators, and ventilators that are a vital necessity for healthcare workers and patients fighting the Coronavirus. Up until this point Ford successfully distributed over 1 million face shields to healthcare workers across the country.

In philanthropic pursuit, Ford is also supplying more than $500,000 to assist nonprofit organizations within the southeast Michigan area, while providing delivery services to senior citizens and children who no longer have access to school meals. Ford has also announced virtual opportunities for those eager to join the fight of COVID-19, which include their match program and volunteering projects.
