[NEWS RELEASE] Karkoulas Sisters Racing Team Gain New Marketing Partners

All-Female Canadian Snowcross Team Eager to Build New Partnerships for Upcoming Season

Oakwood, ON (October 1, 2015) – Canada’s only all-female snowcross team composed of three sisters is ready to take on the 2015/16 CSRA Snowcross season with energy, excitement, and a new marketing partnership. Just announced, Karkoulas Sisters Racing (KSR) will join forces with Backwoods Promotions and Back Country Photography & Design to launch their team and message to the next level.

Both partnerships made sense given the shared goals and values of supporting women in motorsports, mentoring the next generation of racers, and encouraging youth to create goals for themselves.

Established in 2012, Backwoods Promotions was created to offer specialized staffing and marketing solutions to companies in the motorsports and outdoors industries, while also encouraging women to become more involved in motorsports events. Owner, Jessica Kline, is an avid motorsports promoter, blogger and enthusiast with published articles written for Ontario Tourism, Snowmobile.com and American Snowmobiler Magazine. “Over the years, I have taken a special interest in promoting women in the motorsports industry and am thrilled to support the Karkoulas sisters in their goals of reaching for the stars and becoming a top snowcross team in Canada,” said Kline.

Back Country Photography & Design specializes in extreme sports photography, videography and design. In addition to supporting a number of athletes, owner, Shelby Mahon is also a sports journalist, TV personality and snowcross racer with published articles written for SnoX365, Ontario Tourism, Supertax Media Inc., Sled Dealers, Sno Riders West and more. “When I was approached about supporting the Karkoulas sisters, I couldn’t resist the opportunity to help three beautiful young girls live their snowcross dreams,” said Mahon. “With a background in snowcross myself, I look forward to supporting the next generation and helping the girls out in every way I can.”

Karkoulas Sisters

The Karkoulas sisters include Brooklyn (10), Dakota (9), and Zoe (6), all of whom will be racing the full snowcross season this year with goals of top three finishes. They are excited to start securing new partnerships for the upcoming season.
